Flexible drill bits, commonly referred to as Flex Bits are commonly used for drilling holes inside of walls. These bits typically come with a small hole in the head of the bit as well as the end that attaches to the drill itself. The holes on either end are used to pull a pull string or the actual cable that you are fishing through the wall. A great accessory to use with the flex bit to avoid burning your hand while trying to steer the bit is part number FIBGUD. As with all power tool use, you should always wear protective gloves when using flex bits. GEEKGLOVE would be a sufficient glove to protect your hands. Flex bits come in wood/metal, wood and masonry types. The masonry type drill bits need to be used in a hammer drill for them to be effective at drilling concrete. Always be sure that you know what is behind the material that you are drilling through.
